Stan accomplished many things in his life. He was very well traveled as his parents would take him on trips with them.

He visited over 40 states including Alaska and Hawaii. He was an avid artist and shared his work with his family and friends and he also loved bird and squirrel watching and being outdoors. Stan also kept in close contact with those he loved, often initiating outings and gatherings. His friendly smile and ability to remember names and faces was very endearing. Stan was loved by many and all could feel that love in return. He was blessed with many loving caretakers who were like family. Stan's favorite things were to go fishing, spend time with his brother Clayton – his lifelong best friend, and he was an avid Iowa State fan.
