Cathy “Charlie” Lynn (Doran) Eppert

On May 16, 2021, Cathy “Charlie” Lynn (Doran) Eppert, loving wife and mother, peacefully passed away in her home in Stanhope, IA. 

Cathy was born in Des Moines, IA on July 28, 1960 to Paul and Caroline Doran.  On November 21, 2013 Cathy married Dale Eppert, and the two enjoyed many years of motorcycling, attending stock car races and fishing together.

Cathy was a selfless nurturing person who loved life, family, and friends.  Her laughter and smile were infectious, and her hugs were a magical concoction of love, comfort, reassurance, and encouragement.  Cathy loved to cook and carried on traditions of preparing family recipes from generations past.  On Sundays, you would find her enjoying a football game with family, especially the Broncos or Colts, or curled up with a good book.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Paul Doran, and her mother, Caroline Schiele.  She is survived by her husband Dale Eppert, her two sons, Joshua and Tony (Jennifer) Smith, her granddaughter Raylin, her sisters Dawn (Rick) Hill and Cindi (Robert Oberndorf) Regalado, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by many family members in Iowa including her mother-in-law JoAnn Eppert, sister-in-law Sheila Vest and brother-in-law Denny (Dody) Eppert.

Cremation has taken place, and Cathy will be laid to rest in Iowa.  A Celebration of Life will be held in Wyoming on June 6^th from 2:00-5:00pm at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens (outdoor Peace Garden area) at 710 South Lions Park Drive.  Flowers or condolences may be sent ahead of time to 7431 Hilary Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82009.
