Roger Santi

Roger Herman Santi, 74, son of Aldo & Laura (Fraulini) Santi, was born August 31, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. He passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at MercyOne Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.

Roger graduated from Madrid High School in 1965. On December 22, 1973, he married Cheri Zaruba in Perry, Iowa. They made their home in Perry for 20 years. They then moved to Ankeny, where they lived for 20 years. On March 1, 2004, Roger retired from John Deere in Ankeny after over 30 years. For the last 8 years, they have made Lake Panorama their home.

Roger was an officer in the Vittoria Lodge in Ankeny. He was an avid gun collector and dealer, he loved fishing, hunting, basically anything outdoors. He loved motorcycles and cars, with his pride and joy, a 1973 Grand Prix with a big motor.

Roger is survived by his wife, Cheri Santi of Panora; sons, Tony (Jennifer) Santi of Grimes and Larry (Marci) Santi of Johnston; 4 grandchildren, Reghan Santi, Tory Santi, Max Kasiar, and Mya Kasiar; 3 great-grandchildren, Talan Teel, Taylee Schouten, and Taten Schouten. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mickey Santi.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
