Douglas Alan Lawson, 45

Douglas Alan Lawson, 45, died at home on January 5, 2022. He was born on September 15, 1976, the son of Dennis Lawson and Linda (Lincoln) Lawson. 

 

Doug graduated from Madrid High School in 1995. For many years, he worked with the elderly as first a Dietary Aide, then a Certified Nursing Assistant where his warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of many people. Doug was incredibly charismatic and was always able to apply new ideas and creative techniques to all areas of his life. He was able to bring his inner beauty outward and transform anything he touched into a masterpiece, whether that be through landscaping, decorating, or restoration. Doug radiated goodness to all, and was always there to help, comfort, or laugh with his vast network of friends. 

 

Doug was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Martin and Esther Lawson, and maternal grandparents, Howard and Opal Lincoln. In addition to his parents, Doug is survived by his sister, Jana (Bernie) Dalton of Madrid, and nephews Benjamin Dalton of Boone and Bailey Dalton of Madrid. 

 

Doug will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Woodward with a Celebration of Life in the spring
