Daniel Todd Frederick was born on October 19, 2003 to Timothy and Elena (Derkatch) Frederick in Des Moines, Iowa. He was proud to have graduated early from Urbandale High School with the class of 2022. During high school his first job was for Discount Tire. After graduation he joined Liuna! Local Laborers Union 177 and was currently working with Granite Excavating.

Daniel was sort of an old soul as they would say. He enjoyed listening to old music, played old records and watched old Western movies. During his time in high school he enjoyed playing many sports, including baseball, bowling, football, cross country and wrestling. Daniel loved to be outdoors, fishing and enjoying all the beauty nature had to offer. However, unknown to most, Daniel was an excellent piano player. He also enjoyed cars, working on them and running them through the mud.

Daniel was unique in the way he lived. He was kind and caring, but also could be a little stubborn. He loved his parents, his older sister and all of what life had to offer.

Daniel was golden since day one. He was honest, he was brilliant, and he was so passionate in everything he did. He was unapologetically himself.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Timothy and Elena Frederick; sister, Kira; and maternal grandmother, Raisa Michaylavna Derkatch.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles V. and Nancy Frederick; and maternal grandfather, Vitaly Kirillovich Derkatch.
