Claudia Anderson

Claudia Kay Anderson, of rural Madrid, died Saturday, January 14. She was 70. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Slater Cemetery.

Claudia was born June 7, 1952. She and her brother Ray made the news as the first set of twins to be born at the Story City Hospital. Claudia graduated from Nevada High School in 1970. Following graduation, Claudia enjoyed working as a CNA at the Madrid/Huxley Nursing Homes before retiring.

Claudia loved her family. At the time of her passing she had made it to #16182 on the waiting list for Green Bay Packers season tickets. She also enjoyed camping, puzzles, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Chicago Cubs. She was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary to Post 5060 in Madrid and enjoyed spending winter with her Mission Bell community in Texas. Claudia’s laugh and determination will be missed by many.
