Body discovered under High Trestle Trail Bridge

On Saturday, November 14, a caller reported the discovery of a body underneath the High Trestle Trail Bridge.

According to the release from the Book County Sheriff's Office, the body was that of Michael England, 21, of Cedar Rapids. Boone County Sheriffs and the Iowa DCI responded to the call and believe that England had fallen from the bridge. The investigation is still underway, but Detective Andy Godzicki has said that the initial findings indicate that the fall was an intentional act by the deceased.

The Boone County Medical Examiner, Boone County Hospital, Boone County Conservation, Boon County Search and Rescue, and Iowa State University Police all assisted in the investigation.
